Past Continuous Tense

Past Continuous Tense adalah Tenses yang keenam dalam Grammar Bahasa Inggris. Secara sederhana Tenses ini diartikan sebagai bentuk waktu yang menjelaskan tentang suatu kejadian, peristiwa atau aktivitas yang sedang terjadi pada waktu tertentu di masa lampau.

Rumus:

S + Tobe (was/were) + V-ing + dll

Was --- I, He, She, It

Were --- You, We, They

Adverbs yang digunakan:

• at 8 o'clock yesterday
• when you came
• dll

Perhatikan contoh kalimat di bawah ini:

• Andy was watching TV at 8 o'clock yesterday.
• She was cooking in the kitchen when I came.
• While my mother was having a telephone, someone knocked at the door.
• The Students were studying English at 9 last week.
• You were walking at Blandong Street when it began to rain.
