Lend VS Borrow

Functions and examples
1. We use borrow to say that we take something.
Can I borrow your car?
She borrowed Rp 1000 from her father.
2. We use lend to say that we give something.
Can you lend me your car?
Her father lent her Rp 1000
Her father lent Rp 1000 to his daughter.

The difference between lend and borrow is the following.
Lend means to give something and borrow means to take something.
For example:
- Could you give me some money, please? (She took some money from me)
- Could you lend me some money, please? (She borrowed some money from me)

Borrow: To receive money (or any object) from someone with the intention of returning it at a later date with interest.
Lend: To let out money to someone on condition of repayment with interest.
